Gillespie County Fair Parade

We had a fun time today at the Gillespie County Fair parade in our little town.  Noah rode in the parade on his school float... he was so excited about that.  We arrived early enough to get him dropped off at the float and then we headed up to the downtown area to find us a spot along the street to get ready for the parade to begin.

The little ones were anxiously awaiting to see their big brother on his school float....

The parade had LOTS of participants...and since we were sitting at the end of the parade route--we had to wait a lot longer for it to get to us than we realized.  So as you can imagine, with a 2 and 3-year old---the troops started to get hot and restless after a while... ;-(

To help kill time, Daddy went into the store to grab some drinks and snacks to keep Gavin and Taylor entertained.

Tay-Tay was pretty excited to come show me what Daddy bought her...some yummy popcorn.

And about that time...the parade had finally made it's way down to where we were sitting.

She was having a blast dancing and spinning while all the music was playing...

Daddy comforting her after she bit it on the concrete while she was dancing...

Gavin loved seeing all the fire trucks...

 Daddy giving horsey rides...

And finally...Noah's float came by us and we all yelled and clapped for him!!
He was beaming...it was so precious.

We had a great time at the parade and were so thankful that the weather wasn't too hot.
Now we're off to the fairgrounds this evening to ride some rides at the carnival.
Looking forward to some more family fun!!
