Daddy's day

For Daddy's special day, the kids each made a little book for him with their
own tender little thoughts and sentiments about their sweet Daddy.  I found these
free little printables over at The Measured Mom.

To help them complete them, I sat down with them individually and we talked about
all the thingsthat come to mind when they think of Daddy, i.e. what he likes to eat,
what activities he likes to do with them and why he is special to them.

It was so special to have these discussions with them and to watch their eyes light up
as they talked about him. I could truly feel the love and the deep admiration
they have for their sweet Daddy.  What a tender mercy this was for me.
I'm so thankful that our babies have such a wonderful Daddy who loves them so dearly
and works hard to provide for them and teach them the strong values and
beliefs they'll need to be happy and successful in this life.

When it came time to give him his presents...the kids were super excited to help
Daddy open them.

Even our kitty, Lola, came out of her hiding place to see what all the commotion was about.  :-)

[ Taylor Elizabeth (2yrs.), Gavin (3yrs.) and Noah (8yrs.) ]

He loved his presents, but oh boy--their little books meant more to him than anything...
what a blessing it is to see all three of our babes snuggled in his arms giggling and laughing.
A tender reminder of all the blessings and joys that came out of our long journey
to grow our family through the gift of adoption.  We are truly blessed to be the parents to
these three special little spirits.

I hope the kids always know how much their Daddy loves them.
