Great Wolf Lodge Family Reunion 2014- Day 2

Photograph by Ed Sheeran on Grooveshark

On the second day of our family reunion at the Lodge, we threw on our swimsuits early that morning and headed down to the water park for some fun with all of our family.

Tay-tay was feeling much more at ease and confident about getting into the water with her cousins.
Her cousin, Ava was so sweet and helped her get in and feel safe.

Uncle Brent is always a hit with the kids...they LOVE him.
They had a blast playing and horsing around with him.

KiKi and Pops always enjoy watching the grandkids play together....

After a long and fun day in the sun...
we headed back to the room to get cleaned up and ready for dinner.
Tay-tay was so precious in her new, little mini-skirt.  :-)

Later that evening, we all headed over to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. It's so convenient to the hotel--just right down the road.
Noah was so excited to go to his favorite restaurant a/k/a "Gorilla Cafe".  ;-)

The expression on Noah's face above cracks me up.  You can tell by his expression how sick he was at this point of posing for family pics...
he was just ready to get in the Rainforest Cafe and have some fun with his cousins.

Taylor and Gavin were so enamored with the big aquarium they have on display as you walk into the restaurant.

All the kids loved the light up cups, too---they were oohing and awing over those all night.

The sweet lady who made all the cool balloon designs--she was a hit with our crew.

All the lighting in the Rainforest Cafe is really dim--so all the pics turned out really dark and fuzzy...
but here are a few more pics of our fun night there.

After dinner, we all headed back to the Lodge to let the kids play---
the older kids went down to the arcade area.

Jody took Noah down to the arcade so I could try and get Gavin and Taylor to sleep back in our hotel room...
they were having way too much fun hanging out and playing together--
so it took me longer than usual to finally go to sleep.

At the end of the day--a group of us converged back in KiKi and Pop's room to hang out a little longer before calling it a day.  My poor brother Jeff missed out on most of the fun on Day 2 --he caught some bug or something and spent most of the day deathly ill in his hotel room. Bless his heart...

But other than that...we had a great second day with all of our family.
I was already dreading our weekend of fun coming to a close the next day and having to say our good-byes.

That's always sad...and hard.

  1. What a fabulous trip. Taylor's expressions crack me up (as do Noah's "enough mom"). My girls loved Rainforest Cafe when they were that age.
