Our visit to Kennebunkport, ME

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

On our third day while vacationing in Ogunquit, ME at Perkins Cove...
the hubby and I woke up that morning and walked into
town to have lunch and then took a walk down by the water.
Taylor had fun staying behind and hanging out with Janet and Pop.

It was nice to spend some together as hubby and wife---
we don't get much alone time together like this these days with three kiddos.

The views were absolutely breathtaking as we enjoyed our walk home after lunch...

After we got back to the house, my in-laws and friends had decided we should drive over
to Kennebunkport and look around..Kennebunkport is another popular town
in Maine--it's also where George and Barbara Bush have their vacation home.
I was looking forward to visiting a new town....

It's a quick 30 minute drive over from Ogunquit, which isn't bad at all...
once we pulled into town---we found parking really easily in the downtown area
and then we all kind of spread out and started perusing through all the cute shops.

Many of the shops began to close their doors around 5PM....
so we all congregated back at our SUV around then...
we loaded up and drove around for a bit to look at some of the homes.

There are some beautiful properties in this town...

This is George and Barbara's vacation home....wowzers!

Such a gorgeous place....

We were all ready for dinner and so we headed back to Ogunquit grab a bite to eat...
on the way into town we passed this cute shop that sells copper weathervanes...
so we pulled over and took a look at them.  They were all so pretty---
we then headed on over to the restaurant.

Baby girl enjoying some cuddle time with Daddy while we waited for our
meal to arrive at the restaurant...

We had a great time visiting the town of Kennebunkport and taking in all the beautiful views
and real estate during our drive there...

Maine truly is beautiful in the summers--I don't think I could handle their brutal winters---
but it's definitely one of my new favorite places to visit in the summer.
The cool temperatures are so nice---such a refreshing respite from our hot Texas summers.

More photos to come of all the fun antiquing we did while in Maine.

Until then....
