....Show time at the gym.

I believe I mentioned a while back that for the past couple of months, we've had Noah enrolled at the local Little Gym.  He has enjoyed taking two classes a week in the afternoons (each are an hour long). A gymnastics/karate class and a sports skills class.  It's been a great way for our little fella to run off some of his energy after school because let me tell ya, he has ALOT of it---he's one very active little dude.  We learned a long time ago (and I'm now being reminded of it since he's out of school for summer) If we don't let him run and play hard during the course of the day, it's really rough trying to get him to go to bed at night. So these gym classes have been a win-win for us all around.

For the end of year class schedule, they host what are called show classes where they invite the parents in to watch each class perform the new skills they've learned over the course of the year.  Noah was super excited to have Mommy and Daddy come in and watch him show off all his cool moves that he's been working on with Coach Greg.

It was so precious to watch him and all the other kids smile out at the audience when it was their turn to stand up and do something on the floor mat.  The kids in his class their ages ranged from 3 thru 5 years old, so Noah was one of the older ones in the class.  I leaned over in the middle of the show class and told Jody... "Daddy, our son is growing up."  He just smiled in really is amazing how the past 5 years have just flown by with our son.

Here are just a few of our fun pictures from his show class....

He looked like he was getting a little nervous here before it was his turn to go out onto the mat...

When they called his name, he ran to the mat,  did his little move across the mat and jumped up with the biggest smile on his face.

Out of everything, this is always his favorite thing to do...he loves flipping over the bar.

I think what I will remember most from his show week was his amazing enthusiasm -- he loves to be out in front of an audience.  And then his sweet, precious smile --oh my goodness, it lit up the room every time he took the floor.

We couldn't be prouder of our little man and all that he learned in his classes this year.

  1. So fun! My girls loved gymnastics and gymboree when they were little.

  2. That looks like so much fun and such a great way to get some energy out!

  3. I know he enjoyed every minute of it,as did Mommy! Love that boy so much!
