A Halloween parade.

halloween

Noah has been super excited for weeks about wearing his Captain America costume for his all-school Halloween parade this year.  The day finally arrived on Monday and wouldn't you know it, when it came time to put his costume on, he wasn't so excited.  In fact, he was quite bah-humbug about it.  Argh!!  So typical, right???...I think he was just tired and cranky because we had to get up so early to get ready for the school parade.

Once we pulled into the school parking lot, his attitude seemed to change for the better. Captain America was in full character and ready to show off his muscles. ;-)

The kids all took their seats once they arrived and were trying their best to patiently wait for the school parade to begin.  Their teachers kept them busy by having them make candy bar graphs with gummy bears.

Finally, 9am rolled around and it was time for the festivities to begin...they all took their places in line and the parade of costumes began.

The 2K and 3K babies went first...oh my goodness, this is always one of my favorite parts of this parade...seeing the babies in their costumes is just so precious.

And then the 4K, Kinder and 1st thru 5th graders began to stroll through the parade line...

Noah was so stink'in cute as he walked with his classmates...

He and one of his buddies from his class both came dressed as Captain America...
they both got a kick out of the fact that they had matching costumes and insisted on walking together for the parade.

After the parade, it was party time in the classrooms...

They ate...

They played games...

And listened to Halloween stories being read...

What a fun Halloween parade and party...Noah and his friends truly had a blast.  And the parents, well as you can imagine, we were all grinning from ear to ear watching the kiddos have fun in their Halloween gear.  So precious!

At 11am, it was early dismissal and the kiddos got to head out early from school.  Noah, Jody and I went to lunch together at our favorite Chinese restaurant and then not too long after we got home, the sugar finally wore off from the party and Noah passed out on the couch asleep with his kitty, Lola.

Captain America was completely pooped out from all his Halloween festivities at school.

Such a fun day...I have more pics to share from our Halloween this year in a later post.

XOXO...

Jennifer
