Sending well wishes...

My heart literally sank when I read about Edie's tragic loss of her home just before Christmas. If you read Life in Grace, then you must already know about this sad event. I stumbled across Edie's blog several months ago and have enjoyed reading her heartfelt posts detailing her deep love and passion for her family, her homeschooling adventures, beautiful home decorating ideas and so many other tender musings about life in general by this talented and classy lady.

I wanted to take a moment today to send Edie and her dear family some heartfelt hugs from our family and to let her know that she and her loved ones are in our prayers.

I came across two quotes that I wanted to share with Edie...
“It is not on the pinnacle of success and ease where men and women grow most. It is often down in the valley of heartache and disappointment and reverses where men and women grow into strong characters...every reversal can be turned to our benefit and blessing and can make us stronger, more courageous, more godlike.”

~Ezra T. Benson

"The courageous faith and action of one person who excels in coping with adversity can be a great blessing to others who are strengthened by the example."

~Dallin H. Oaks

I pray that Edie and her family will continue to be blessed and cared for by family and friends during this difficult personal trial. It's comforting to know that God will not give us adversities we cannot handle, and he will bless us richly for patiently doing the best we can in the worst of circumstances.

I'm sure Edie would love to hear from YOU my dear blogging why don't you join in and send her some well wishes. You can link it for her to read.

And we all face adversities--some more challenging than others. There is so much to be learned from Stephanie {NieNie's} enduring example of faith in the midst of immense challenges. Like so many of you I'm does my soul good to check in on her daily. I always leave her blog reminded that we are never left alone and that no matter how much we may struggle in this life, we can ALWAYS feel the tender mercies of God in our lives. We just have to have a humble heart, an ounce of faith and open mind to do so.

Many blessings and well wishes...
