Our Saturday.

"Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless."

~Bill Watterson

I can't remember the last time we had a lazy Saturday morning where we didn't have to be somewhere. A Saturday we had just to ourselves to relax. We took advantage of it by sleeping in this fact, we didn't crawl out of the bed until after 9am. It was heaven! After chowing down on some morning cereal, we hung out in the backyard for a while. Little Man played in his sandbox and we sat watching him play and talking. The weather has been a little chillier this week--in the low 60's in the mornings, but by mid-afternoon peaking in the high 80's. That's South Texas weather for ya this time of the year!! As you can see by the pictures below...we even still have things in bloom in our backyard.

I love walking around our backyard taking pictures of everything. What a blessing nature is and it does the soul good to walk around and take it all in.

Since Little Man woke up talking about going to play at the park, we headed to his favorite one in the area and let him play around for a while. The weather was perfect.

Little Man loves being the photographer when we are out and about; however today...he discovered his talent in being a videographer. Notice his unique technique above...he looks through the lens while covering his other eye with his finger. :-)

He had a blast sliding, swinging and playing chase with new friends he met while there.

We were pretty hungry when we left the park, so we headed on over to Red Lobster for lunch. I have had a gift card burning a hole in my wallet, so we made good use of it today. The Cheddar Bay biscuits are to die for! I enjoyed the Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia, the Hubby had the flounder and Little Man ate chicken strips and french fries. And ...we all three shared the warm chocolate chip lava cookie. Yum...yum!!

After playing in the backyard, running at the park and now having very full tummies...we headed back to the casa to relax and take a nap. Well let me clarify, the Hubby got to take a catnap, unfortunately, Little Man wasn't even remotely tired, so the two of us watched a little Kung Fu Panda on the t.v. and did some coloring. Good times...

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend as much as we are...also, a huge shout out and WHOOP!! to the Aggies tonight as they play Nebraska!!
