The Hubby's parents.

jesse and janet visit- sept. 2010 018

Our weekend with the Hubby's parents was wonderful. Despite the rain and clouds, we really enjoyed our time together, just hanging out and having great conversation.

Little Man was happy as can be during their entire visit. He laughed and giggled all weekend with his Pop and Janet.

They enjoyed getting to see what we have done thus far with our new {older} home. The Hubby's father is a home builder, so he was able to give us some insight into future projects we are considering. We even put him to work while he was here.....he worked with the Hubby on Saturday helping him finish hanging the baseboards, installing doors and hanging closet rods in our master bedroom.

During their visit, we took them to one of our favorite steakhouses here in the Rio Grande Valley...

it's called the Santa Fe Steakhouse.

We arrived around 5:30, which we learned by the way is the perfect time to go because you miss the busy dinner crowd and having to wait to be seated.

Little Man tried his best to sit still as long as he could. And let me say, this was a feat for him...the waiters were very kind and kept bringing him cherries from the bar to keep him occupied until our food arrived.

The Hubby and I enjoy dining at this restaurant when we have a "date night" because it has such a great feel to it and well, the food is simply fabulous. Overall, just a great place to go with your special someone and have a romantic dinner out on the town.

Pop and Janet seemed to enjoy their Santa Fe Steakhouse experience and we truly enjoyed their visit this weekend. I feel so blessed to have such loving and caring in-laws. They did an amazing job raising my sweet Hubby and for that, I will forever be grateful. ;-)

And lastly, speaking of family....

I must give a shout out to my cousin Casey Jones...she just celebrated her 35th birthday this weekend and what an exciting time it is for her. She has had an amazing journey as a wife and mother and it continues to get more and more interesting each and every day!
