Little Man's preschool.

We decided in December to enroll little man in a preschool just down the road from our house. It has proved to be a wonderful experience for him on so many levels.

He L-O-V-E-S his teachers...
He L-O-V-E-S his classmates and...
He L-O-V-E-S all the playing he gets to do while there!!!

The hubby and I have watched his social and speech skills develop so much over these past several months. As difficult as it is for me to kiss him good-bye each morning, I know that it is something that he is benefiting from. When he first began his school, the teachers literally had to peel him off of me at the morning drop-off. broke my heart to leave him there. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I would usually walk to my car and shed a few tears. And then, offer a big, long prayer to Heavenly Father to bless him and protect him while we were away from one another. But, it's funny how kids (and parents, too I might add), little man wants to walk by himself (without being carried to his classroom) and he insists on opening the door himself and kissing me good-bye at the door. Pretty cute how he has become this big boy!

Of course, I usually stand at the door (out of his visuals) and peer through the window for a few minutes watching him interact with his friends. It always brings a smile to my face.

Memorial weekend 2010 048

Here is a little peek into his sweet little school....

This is the hallway we walk down each and every day to get to his classroom.

He has his own Spiderman rolling backpack that he rolls down this hallway every morning and afternoon that has his big, warm, fuzzy nap blanket and pillow in it as well as Pebbles.

The library...which he loves to go to and listen to stories being read by his teachers.

The weekly lesson plans and concepts they work on are posted outside his classroom for parents to see.

Inside view of his classroom...don't ya just love how bright and colorful preschool classrooms are??!!

One of the many book nooks...

And, of course preschool would not be complete without all kinds of macaroni and paint projects!

I found this oh-so sweet poem today that made me reflect on this phase of my little man will be turning 4 this August-- **gasp!!** The hubby and I were talking today how fast this time has flown by. Sometimes it makes me sad...I don't want him to grow up yet---I so enjoy this age.

Here in My Heart...

I don't want to kiss you goodnight,
so I'll just keep holding you tight!
Because I know, you'll change and you'll grow...
You'll get bigger with each morning light.

I know that the sky is full of stars,
and dreams will call your name from afar...
I'm anxious to see all you're going to be,
but I'm sure gonna miss who you are!

But I'll keep you right here, in my heart,
and I'll memorize each little part.
One day you will grow, and I'll miss you so,
But I'll keep you right here, in my heart.

Each tooth that you'll gain or lose...
Each time you'll need bigger shoes...
Each step that you take, will be further away,
but to stop you is not what I choose.

These fingers that curl around my hand,
must do things that no other can.
I know your not mine, but Gods own design,
and I want you to follow His plan.

But I'll keep you right here, in my heart...
And I'll memorize each little part!
Because one day you'll grow, and I'll miss you so...
But I'll keep you right here, in my heart!
