My kind of weekend.

Last week, it rained every. single. day. While I am sure we needed it, we were all left feeling a bit stir crazy being cooped up indoors. By the time Saturday rolled around, we were ready to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. This was definitely my kind of weekend...

No commitments to be anywhere (besides church of course)...

Beautiful, sunny weather...

Precious time as a family...

We all slept in later than usual Saturday morning, and then enjoyed breakfast together (thanks to the hubby's great cooking!)...our little guy loves when we all sit together at the dinner table for our meals. It is the cutest thing to see him get so excited!

We enjoyed walking around the backyard and checking out all the beautiful flowers in bloom...

Little man enjoying all his boy toys...

And we just received our new streaming disc from Netflix. It is the coolest thing! If you haven't heard about it...Netflix and Nintendo recently partnered to co-launch a media streaming service. We can now instantly stream any movies or T.V. shows we want to watch directly to our T.V. via our Wii.

We enjoyed testing it out this weekend...what's great is there are all kinds of "kid" videos for our little guy to watch, too.

Thomas the Train was in full-force this weekend...

Little man proudly wearing his "big-boys"...we had made a run to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and on the drive home, he got it all over his clothes. We stripped him down as soon as we walked in before the ice cream made its way onto my furniture!

And then, Sunday afternoon arrived and it was off to church...

Dad and Son weren't really into posing for the camera today....

And that dress shirt on little man-- it will only stay tucked in for a whopping 10 seconds, so I have to take the picture really fast! He hates to have his dress shirts tucked in...

Happy Monday!

Sadly, I'm already counting the days until the weekend...

  1. We love Netflix too. It's rather handy! Your boys look so handsome in their Sunday best. This rain sure is helping the plants tremendously! We had rain the whole way on our road trip over the weekend. It was kind of a pain, but I'm grateful that we made it home safe and sound.
